TriFactor Membership

Reap the benefits of a full year of training and sign up early! TriFactor offers membership for $150 a year, typically paid at the beginning of the calendar year. Membership includes all facility time (track, bike and swim time). Members can access online workouts and the group email throughout the full calendar year. TriFactor has a workout schedule to compliment a full year: indoor training (winter), outdoor workouts (spring), race season (summer) and off season (fall).

After May 31, new members can join for $100 with all the benefits of a full year membership, minus the indoor facility fees (since the indoor season will be over). Typically, however, we extend the invitation to prospective members to join us through the fall as a courtesy to those interested in becoming a member the following year. Also, prospective members are welcome to drop in for up to two weeks at any time of the year to see if the workout schedule and team is something they want to pursue.

Member Obligation

TriFactor Triathlon Club is a member of Tri Manitoba, our provincial association. As such, we are responsible to host an annual event. Club members must make a time commitment to volunteer in the organization and/or execution of that event. This year TriFactor is in the planning stages of a new event we hope to hold in early June. Details of this exciting new event will be posted early in the new year.

Bingos

TriFactor has joined the TriMB program to work bingos through Manitoba Lotteries (Club Regent or McPhillips Station). This is program has provided a revenue source for the both the club and our members. Because TriFactor is a young and growing club, bingos have provided team members more opportunities for training, social activities and other perks, such as specialized clinics and club gear. In 2010 the club will be directing 50% of bingo profits to club development for the benefit of our athletes. The remainder is allocated to the participating members and can be used for various triathlon related activities or purchases in accordance with the bingo regulations. For every person who participates, $65 will be divided in half, with $32.50 dedicated to the team and the other half to the participant. Currently, since our team has demonstrated strong interest in this program, this is a voluntary program and not a mandatory requirement for club members. However, the club executive reserves the right to make participation in bingos mandatory if interest wanes mid-year. In such a scenario, the executive would decide at the end of the bingo year (April) if the club will participate again the following year.
